How to wear your band correctly
A good fit is essential for accurate readings. Most inaccurate readings are caused by a loose or badly positioned band, so if your data looks inconsistent, check your fit first.
Correct Placement
✅ Position: one finger-width above your wrist bone
Wear your band about one finger-width above your wrist bone, not directly on it.
✅ Sensor contact: flat against your skin
The sensor on the back of your band needs to sit flat against your skin. If it's rotated to the side, it won't be in full contact with your skin.
✅ Fit: snug but comfortable
Adjust the strap so your band feels snug but comfortable. If it slides around when you move your wrist, it's too loose.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Too close to the wrist bone: wear it about one finger-width above instead
- Too loose: a loose fit can cause inaccurate readings
- Rotated to the side: the sensor won't be in full contact with your skin
- Too tight: can be uncomfortable and leave marks on your skin
When Taking a Spot Measurement
When you take a One Key Measurement, such as a blood pressure reading:
- Sit still with your arm resting at heart level
- Don't talk, move or fidget
- Wait until the reading has finished before moving

Which Wrist Should I Wear It On?
Either wrist is fine. For the most consistent trends, wear your band on the same wrist every day. See Which Wrist Should I Wear the Band On? for more, or check which strap fits you in our HLTH Band Strap Sizing Guide.
During Sleep
Your band is designed to be worn overnight. Sleep tracking is one of its main features, so keep it on while you sleep for sleep stage and sleep quality tracking.
During Exercise
You can wear your band during your workouts. If it moves during intense exercise, tighten the strap slightly. For activities with lots of wrist movement, you can also move the sensor into our Sport Knit Arm Band and wear it on your upper arm.
