Stress Score Troubleshooting Guide
If your stress score is missing or doesn't seem right, this guide will help.
If stress data is missing
Step 1 — Turn on Stress Detection. Stress is only recorded when Stress Detection is switched on in the QWatch Pro app. [Add path to the setting.]
Step 2 — Sync the app and check the band is charged and connected.
If your stress score seems too high
Step 1 — Check your fit. Stress is worked out from your heart rate and HRV. A loose band gives unreliable results. See [How to Wear Your Band Correctly].
Step 2 — Remember it's physical stress too. The band can't tell the difference between a hard workout and a stressful meeting. Both look the same to your body.
Step 3 — Look at patterns. A spike during or after exercise is normal and healthy. What matters is a stress level that stays high while you're resting.
Common scenarios and what they mean
"It says I'm stressed but I feel relaxed"
Things like caffeine, poor sleep, dehydration, alcohol or illness can raise your stress score even when you feel calm.
"It's high after the gym"
This is expected. Your body is recovering from exercise.
"It's high while I sleep"
This can happen after alcohol, a late meal, illness or hard training. If it happens most nights, focus on rest and recovery.
