What is Body Battery and how do I interpret it?
Body Battery shows how much energy you have available. Your HLTH Band combines your heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), sleep and daily activity into a single score from 0 to 100.
Think of it like a phone battery for your body: it charges while you rest and drains as you use energy through the day.
How It Charges and Drains
- It charges while you rest. Deep sleep and calm periods during the day add energy back.
- It drains through exercise, stress, illness, and short or broken sleep.
Body Battery Ranges
- Low (0–25): limited energy. Prioritise rest and recovery.
- Moderate (26–50): some energy in reserve. Keep your day steady.
- Good (51–75): well recovered and ready for normal activity.
- High (76–100): fully recharged and ready for more demanding activity.
When to Check It
- In the morning: see how well you recovered overnight
- Through the day: see how much energy you have left
Getting the Most From Body Battery
Wear your band overnight. Body Battery measures how much you recover while you sleep, so it needs you to wear your band at night.
Look at the weekly pattern. A single day matters less than your pattern across a week. If your battery regularly stops charging fully overnight, it's a sign to protect your sleep or ease off training.
Make sure your other data is recording. Body Battery relies on your sleep, heart rate and HRV data. If any of these aren't recording, or your band is loose, your Body Battery won't be accurate either. Check your band is charged, synced and fitted correctly. See How to Wear Your Band Correctly.
It Doesn't Match How I Feel?
Body Battery estimates your energy based on your body's signals. It doesn't measure it directly, so it won't always match exactly how you feel. Use it as a general guide alongside how you're feeling.
Important
Body Battery is a wellness estimate based on your heart rate, HRV, sleep and activity. It isn't a medical measurement and can't diagnose or treat any condition. If you have any health concerns, speak to a healthcare professional.
