What to do when my band isn't charging?

What to Do When My Band Isn't Charging

If your HLTH Band isn't charging, it's usually a quick fix. Work through these steps in order.

How Charging Works

When your band is charging, the light shows solid red. When it's fully charged, it turns solid green.

A full charge takes about 90 minutes. You don't need to wait that long to check it's working, though: 10 minutes on the charger gives around 3 days of use, so a short charge is enough to tell whether it's charging.

Battery life varies depending on how often your band syncs and how often you use workout tracking.

Step 1: Check the magnetic connection

The charging cable attaches magnetically to the charging pins on the back of your band. It should snap firmly into place.

  • Make sure the magnetic end sits directly over the pins, not just near them
  • Remove the cable and reattach it
  • Check for a solid red light. See What Do the Light Indicators Mean? if you're not sure what you're seeing.

Step 2: Make sure the pins are clean and dry

Sweat, moisture or dirt on the pins can stop your band from charging.

  • Wipe the pins on the back of your band with a clean, dry cloth
  • Check the magnetic end of the cable for dirt and wipe it clean
  • Make sure everything is completely dry before reconnecting. Never charge your band while the pins are wet.

Step 3: Try a different power source

The problem may be the power source rather than your band.

  • Check which cable you have: USB-C (small oval plug) or USB-A (flat rectangular plug). Make sure the port or wall adapter matches.
  • Try a different wall adapter, USB port or laptop
  • Avoid USB hubs with several devices connected, as they may not supply enough power
  • Check the port works by plugging something else into it

A wall adapter isn't included with your band, but any standard USB wall adapter will work.

Step 4: Check the cable for damage

Look for:

  • Fraying, kinks or other visible damage
  • Dirt on the magnetic connector
  • Bent or damaged pins on the connector

If your cable looks damaged, stop using it and contact us. Faulty cables are replaced free of charge while your band is under warranty, limited to one free replacement per warranty period.

Step 5: Check your band is switched on

If your band has been switched off, press and hold the side button to turn it back on.

If Your Band Is Completely Flat

A band that hasn't been charged for a while, for example after being left in a drawer, can take longer to respond.

  • Leave it on the charger for at least 10 minutes. The light may not come on straight away, and this is normal.
  • Once it starts charging, leave it for the full 90 minutes before wearing it
  • Open the QWatch Pro app while it charges so your band can reconnect and sync

Still Not Charging?

  1. Leave your band on the charger for 1 to 2 hours, plugged into a wall adapter and using the original HLTH cable
  2. If there's still no solid red light, email us at info@hlthtrack.com

Please include:

  • Your order number
  • A photo or short video of your band on the charger
  • Which power sources you've tried
  • Whether your band was working before this started

Important

⚠️ Only use the official HLTH magnetic charging cable. Other magnetic cables may not fit properly and could damage your band or its charging pins.

⚠️ Never charge your band while the pins are wet. Dry them completely first to avoid a short circuit.
