Can I Wear the Band in the Shower or While Swimming?
Yes. Your HLTH Band is rated IP68, which means it's dust-tight and protected against water. It's safe to wear for showering, swimming and everyday water exposure, up to 10 metres deep for up to 1 hour.
Safe to Wear
- Showering
- Swimming (up to 10 metres, for up to 1 hour)
- Washing your hands
- Rain and splashes
- Sweaty workouts
What to Avoid
- Saunas, steam rooms and other extreme heat: take your band off first, as extreme temperatures can damage it
- Diving: don't wear your band deeper than 10 metres
- High-pressure water: avoid activities where water hits the band with force, such as water skiing or jet skiing
After Water Exposure
- After swimming in a pool or the sea, rinse your band with fresh water, as chlorine and salt water are harsher than fresh water
- Pat your band dry with a soft cloth
- Make sure the charging pins on the back of your band are completely dry before charging
- Never connect the charging cable while the pins are wet, as this can cause a short circuit
Tracking Your Swims
You can track swims using Sports Record in the QWatch Pro app. A swim is recorded as one session with duration, heart rate and estimated calories. It doesn't count laps or lengths. See What sports and activities can I track with my HLTH band? for more.
